The Specialty of Oral Surgery

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored before, during, and after surgery.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, your doctor manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Drs. Morgan and Morio practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery, treatment of jaw pathology, and facial trauma.

Dental Implants

Implants are a team effort between an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a restorative dentist. While Drs. Morgan and Morio perform the actual implant surgery, initial tooth extractions, and bone grafting if necessary, the restorative dentist (your dentist) fits and makes the permanent prosthesis. Your dentist will also make any temporary prosthesis needed during the implant process.
